Hokkaido boasts numerous ski resorts, but among them, Tomamu Ski Resort, operated by Hoshino Resorts, is one of the largest snow resorts in the prefecture, with a vast 145-hectare slope. In addition to its abundant variety of courses, the resort stands out for its exceptional services and facilities, born from the desire to allow everyone, whether they ski or snowboard or not, to enjoy the snowy mountains. It is supported by a wide range of people, from repeat visitors to families.
This time, we'll introduce the attractive services offered at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu Ski Resort, a ski resort that enjoys strong support from repeat visitors and families.

1. Tomamu Ski Resort Operating Period and Basic Information

Tomamu Ski Resort Map

Tomamu Ski Resort boasts 29 courses starting from one gondola and five chairlifts, with courses categorized by difficulty level from beginner to intermediate to advanced. The courses range in length from less than 200m to a maximum of 4200m, and the slopes from 7° to 35°, offering plenty of variety so you'll never get bored.

The snow park has separate lanes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, with kickers, boxes, and rails placed within each lane according to skill level. It's great that you can practice and challenge yourself to improve all in one place.
Tomamu Ski Resort
Shimukappu Village, where Tomamu Ski Resort is located, is one of the coldest areas in Hokkaido, but thanks to that, the snow that falls is of the highest quality, fluffy and light. The slopes generally face southeast, so you can expect excellent conditions to ski on top-notch powder under the warm sunshine.
And above all, the high percentage of sunny days is also appealing, with an officially stated sunny rate of 70% during the season!
This is just an official forecast, and the weather varies from year to year, but based on past calculations, it's expected to be sunny for 2 out of 3 days of your stay.
