Ecorin Village

Ecorin Village, located in Eniwa City, Hokkaido, is a small village that cherishes "eco," meaning to reduce the burden on the environment, and "rin," meaning the circle of connection with plants and animals.

Opened in 2006, this theme park focuses on environmental issues and healthy eating, offering fun for the whole family.
The spacious grounds, spanning approximately 40 hectares, feature gardens and shops that will captivate adults, as well as daily animal shows that will delight children.

First, let me introduce you to "Midori no Bokujo" (Green Ranch), a popular spot for children.
You can see pastures where sheep and alpacas are grazing.

How about a farm tour where a tractor powered by biofuel powerfully pulls passenger cars? You can take a leisurely stroll through the farm, enjoying the animals and tranquil scenery.

Ecorin Village

Along the way, there's an event where you can feed the sheep! The children are sure to be delighted. What does the sheep's wool feel like? You can touch it directly.
You'll be greeted by friendly and enthusiastic sheep.

The sheepdogs play a major role in the "Green Ranch Show," which is held every day!
The sight of the handler and the sheep working together to control the flock drew thunderous applause!
You can enjoy watching the brave and clever sheepdogs.

In the "Sheep Race," sheep, each color-coded in five different colors, take off all at once!
It's a race where you have to guess which sheep will come in first place, and it's exciting to watch!
"Go for it! We did it!" The joyous shouts of the children echoed across the vast pasture.

The Galaxy Garden, with its vast grounds and 30 themed gardens, holds a secret that captivates gardeners.
The Galaxy Garden, which displays different expressions throughout the four seasons, changes its appearance from month to month, delighting the eyes of visitors.

In June, the garden transforms from lush greenery to cool blue hues, offering a serene and refreshing experience.

Then, in July, the roses come into full bloom, adding even more dimension to the garden. You can enjoy a colorful and vibrant garden.
It's packed with useful information for gardeners, including designs, plantings, and attractive flowers that will make them want to try them themselves.

Seeing the beautifully grown plants and flowers gives me a great idea of what my own garden will look like in a few years.

Ecorin Village

In Hokkaido, the wildflowers truly come into their own from June onwards! The garden flowers bloom all at once, as if to say, "Look at me!"

There are plenty of benches and tables throughout the park, so you can relax and unwind. There's also a cafe, so stopping by for a cup of tea is a real treat.

After strolling through the beautiful gardens and discovering lovely flowers, why not stop by the garden center? You might find something new and exciting waiting for you there.

5. Here are some giant plants you'll want to tell everyone about!

The "Tomato Forest" in Ecorin Village is the best in the world!

Ecorin Village

As I strolled around the grounds of the garden center, I arrived at a large open space outside.
There was a cute greenhouse with the words "Tomato Forest" written on it.

I stepped inside, expecting to see many different kinds of tomatoes lined up...

Ecorin Village

There, you'll find a gigantic tomato plant that immediately catches your eye with its overwhelming presence!
No, tomatoes aren't trees, are they...?

The guests visiting the house were visibly surprised by the sight.
"Wow!" and "What is this?!" were heard one after another.

Ecorin Village

It's surprising to learn that these tomatoes grew from seeds the same size as the tomatoes we usually plant in our gardens.
The secret to its vigorous growth lay in "watercolor cultivation."

In the water tank beneath its thick trunk, the tree can spread its roots freely without any interference, and it is said to drink up to 250 liters of water a day.

Ecorin Village

This is what it looks like from above.
It looks just like a fruit tree, but it's definitely a tomato.
"Tomato Forest" was recognized as a Guinness World Record in 2013.

This is a plant you should definitely see when you visit "Ecorin Village"!

6. Here are the restaurants in Ecorin Village!

Ecorin Village

In "Ecorin Village," there is a wonderful restaurant with a great atmosphere that blends in with the village. First, there is a shop right next to the entrance to the Galaxy Garden.

Forest Restaurant - Ten-Man

This restaurant, with its striking rooftop swaying flowers and plants, offers a buffet where you can enjoy as many seasonal vegetables as you like.

Ecorin Village

The other one is this one, next to the garden center.

Camel Restaurant

A farm restaurant proud of its fresh pasta and wood-fired pizzas.
The view of "Ecorin Village" from the large windows is also one of its attractions!

This spot is full of attractions, so please enjoy a delicious lunch while leisurely exploring the park.
