JAL flight to Furano for skiing

1. Let us introduce you to the charms of Furano Ski Resort!

Furano Ski Resort

Because Furano Ski Resort is located on an east-facing slope, it receives bright sunlight from the morning, making it a ski resort where you can enjoy skiing in excellent conditions.

With an elevation difference of approximately 750m and a maximum run of about 4km, it's long enough to satisfy those who prefer long runs.

The course is divided into the "Furano Zone" and the "Kita-no-Mine Zone," but there is also the "Wakuwaku Family Snowland" located in front of the New Furano Prince Hotel, and the ability to choose a course depending on your purpose is one of its attractions.

Furano Ski Resort

Overall, the course is long and narrow, making it ideal for long runs. There's also a PREMIUM ZONE at the top of the slope, and if it's open, you can experience an absolutely superb course.

If it snows the night before, the Seiler course will be ungroomed, so if you're lucky enough to be there on a snowy day, we recommend trying it the following day.

Even skiers and snowboarders who like to slide down the slopes aggressively will find themselves grinning at this spot!

Furano Ski Resort

The biggest attraction is the scenery. On clear days, Mount Tokachi, which is directly in front of you, and the Furano Basin that spreads out below are covered in snow, allowing you to ski down through a picturesque landscape.
If you wake up in the morning and it's sunny, be sure to hop on the gondola first thing in the morning.

The groomed slopes, untouched by anyone yet, sparkle in the morning sun as I descend towards the Furano Basin!
You should be able to experience an overwhelming sense of pleasure.

Furano Ski Resort

While ungroomed snow is fun, it's also exciting to cut into groomed courses and let your body take over the speed!

On courses like the Riser Course, you can enjoy the Silky Burn in the morning and the Corduroy Burn in the afternoon, so you might get two great experiences in one day!
Experience the true thrill of skiing at Furano Ski Resort.

3. This is definitely it! I was completely satisfied with the resort experience at Furano Ski Resort♪

3-1. After skiing, relax in a hot spring. Let's warm up at Shisai no Yu.

Furano Ski Resort

Shisai no Yu is a hot spring facility located within the Shin Furano Prince Hotel.
Furano Onsen's hot springs originate from a vein located deep within the Furano landscape, approximately 1,010 meters underground.

The smooth texture of the water that gushes forth from the northern land soothes both mind and body.
The spring water is a sodium-calcium chloride spring (alkaline isotonic low-temperature spring), and its indications include neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, motor paralysis, and fatigue recovery.

Day trips for bathing are also available, so after an active day of skiing or snowboarding, you can relax and warm up in the perfect hot springs.

<Facility Information: Shisai no Yu>

3-2. Let's get lost in the forest at Ningle Terrace.

Furano Ski Resort

A "romantic shopping area" nestled in the forest, adjacent to the New Furano Prince Hotel.
Ninguru Terrace offers many products that can only be found here.

The shop features nature-inspired "Furano-style products," a log cafe terrace, and other ingenious works created by the "Ninguru"—wise people of the forest—who live there.
Let's explore the charming log cabins that look like little dwarf houses and pick up some unique souvenirs from Furano!

<Facility Information: Ningle Terrace>
Operating period: Open all year round (some stores have irregular closing days)
Business hours: 12:00-20:45

3-3. This place became famous overnight thanks to a TV drama! Enjoy a peaceful time at "Forest Clock".

Furano Ski Resort

Within the grounds of the New Furano Prince Hotel, there is a small coffee shop opened by the protagonist in the drama "Yasashii Jikan" (Gentle Time).
As the title suggests, you'll be enveloped in a "gentle atmosphere."

As soon as you step inside, you'll be greeted by the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, and you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee that will soothe your everyday fatigue.

As a special perk for those seated at the counter, you can grind your own coffee beans using a coffee grinder.
You can enjoy the process of slowly and carefully brewing your coffee, making it irresistible for coffee lovers.

After your snow activities, why not relax and enjoy some delicious coffee?

4. We recommend nearby hotels.

4-1. Hotel Naturwald Furano

Furano Ski Resort
Hotel Naturwald Furano is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from the Furano Ski Resort's "Kita no Mine ZONE."

This is a Mikihouse Childcare Research Institute Welcome Baby certified hotel, and it is equipped with things that you'll find convenient, creating a family-friendly and comfortable environment.

Of course, it's not just families who use our services; many people also use them to create special memories for anniversaries or other memorable occasions.

Furano Ski Resort
The meals feature many fresh vegetables sourced from contracted farmers in Furano, which are then beautifully arranged and transformed by skilled chefs.
The soil grown in harsh cold conditions contains plenty of extracts that help produce delicious vegetables, so they're completely different from the vegetables you usually eat!

Furano Ski Resort
The baths include a jacuzzi, a cypress wood bath, and an open-air bath, allowing you to enjoy a variety of bathing experiences depending on the season.

Another great service is that they have "children's goods" available.
Even if you want to relax in a hot spring, you might have worries such as your child getting bored, or them crawling into the water while you're washing them.
But! The bath toys and baby seats provided in the hotel can solve all those problems at once.

Let's use helpful gadgets and enjoy a relaxing hot spring bath once in a while, even as adults.

4-2. Hotel Bellhills

Furano Ski Resort

Hotel Bellhills is a European-style hotel situated on a small hill. During lavender season, you can see a vast carpet of purple lavender stretching across the grounds.

So, you might be wondering, what's it like in winter?
In fact, the vast grounds in front of the hotel have been transformed into a magnificent snow park where you can enjoy banana boating, snowmobiling, snow rafting, and even bobsleigh (a slide)!
Other humorous ideas will also entertain visitors.

Furano Ski ResortThe hot spring is affectionately known as "the bath of vitality," and the water retains heat well and leaves your skin feeling smooth.
You might find your skin becoming smoother in our unique lavender-infused open-air bath or in our spacious public bath.
Also, I highly recommend the mini farm on the premises, where you can enjoy seasonal produce harvested from their own farm, as well as cute sheep and rabbits. Be sure to visit!

<Facility Information: Hotel Bellhills>
Address:20-8 Kitano-mine-cho, Furano City, Hokkaido

4-3. Resort Inn North Country

Furano Ski Resort

Resort Inn North Country offers excellent access to activities that take advantage of Furano's natural beauty!

What I recommend most is the opportunity to spend a special time at "Nordu," one of the few restaurants in Hokkaido with an attached winery.
While dinner is excellent, this hotel is also very popular for its breakfast.

Cheese fondue paired with rare wines not commonly found on the market is simply the best!
The rich, flavorful cheese and the delicious taste of each ingredient melt in your mouth.
Wine pairs wonderfully with cheese fondue, so please give it a try!

Omurice curry, a specialty of Furano, is also very popular!

Furano Ski Resort

The bath is an artificial hot spring, incorporating black silica, a natural mineral that emits far-infrared rays semi-permanently.

Black silica is a mineral often used in hot stone baths, but it is actually a rare natural mineral found only in the mountains upstream of the Amanogawa River in the Shinmei district of Kaminokuni Town, Hokkaido, Japan. It releases minerals such as sodium, magnesium, and potassium, giving it a hot spring-like effect.

Even with hot springs, you can't talk about their effects unless they have a specific water quality name, but thanks to the black silica, it seems like it will fulfill that role admirably.

4-4. Furano Resort Hotel / Hotel Edelweiss

Furano Ski Resort
If you're looking for a lively place for a large group, Furano Resort Hotel Edelweiss is highly recommended.
This hotel is perfect for everyone to enjoy a lively time together while warming up by the large fireplace in the lounge.

Enjoying long evenings with conversation is one of the great pleasures of traveling. And having a fireplace, something you don't usually have at home, is sure to lift your spirits and make the conversation even more lively!
The lounge area is open 24 hours a day, so staying up all night chatting might create some lasting memories.

Furano Ski Resort

Another reason I would recommend Furano Resort Hotel Edelweiss is its "food."

At the restaurant "Alte Liebe," a wide variety of dishes are available, along with the sale of Edelweiss original wines.
Takeout is available, so if you like the taste, it might make a good souvenir.

And on the first floor, there is a spacious public bath.
Komeiseki Onsen, which contains mineral components, is one of the most effective artificial hot springs.

You can expect effects similar to those of a hot spring, such as relief from neuralgia, stiff shoulders, and poor circulation, so please take your time and warm up.

<Facility Information: Furano Resort Hotel Edelweiss>
Address:9-20 Kitano-mine-cho, Furano City, Hokkaido

4-5. New Furano Hotel

Furano Ski Resort

"New Furano Hotel" is a well-located hotel at the foot of the Furano ski resort.
This hotel is designed to be very convenient for guests, not only those using the ski resort, but also those traveling for sightseeing or business, as it is equipped with facilities that can accommodate various purposes.

The resort has a warm, homey atmosphere, and lively conversations always take place among guests of all nationalities.
Since it attracts very friendly travelers, you might have an experience similar to the "yuntaku" (a casual, informal gathering) that is popular in Okinawa.

Furano Ski Resort
The food selection is excellent, and I appreciate the wide variety of options, including both Japanese and Western cuisine!
The menu mainly features Western-style dishes, with options including pasta and plate meals."Restaurant JUN".

Enjoy a feast of seafood at the hotel, featuring sashimi made with seasonal ingredients from Hokkaido, salmon roe, dried Atka mackerel, and more."Japanese Restaurant Hotaru".
Both restaurants offer such a wide variety of dishes that it's hard to choose just one, so you can stay without getting bored!

4-6. Pension Lavender

Furano Ski Resort
Pension Lavender offers such a warm and welcoming pension-like experience that you'll definitely want to return after your first visit!
The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the ski resort, and the owners are very friendly; there's practically nothing to criticize.

One of the most popular features of this guesthouse is the breakfast, which uses plenty of vegetables and herbs.
Furano is known for its truly delicious vegetables, and the chefs here skillfully bring out the natural sweetness and flavor of the vegetables in their dishes.
You'll be so captivated by it that you'll find yourself thinking, "I want to eat that breakfast again!" after you return from your trip!

In addition, the relaxing living room offers complimentary tea service and internet access, and a massage chair is available free of charge on the second floor.
We also have a coin laundry and a ski drying room, so skiers can use the facilities with peace of mind.
We also have a fireplace, so let's enjoy some winter-specific activities!

4-7. Furano Hotel

Furano Ski Resort

If you're looking for a high-class hotel in Furano, I would definitely recommend "Furano Hotei".
Spending time amidst vast nature is sure to create unforgettable memories.

The friendly service is very pleasant, and everyone who visits will be impressed by the service they receive.
It's a little far from the ski resort, but you can enjoy such a high-quality experience that the distance is well worth it.

Furano Ski Resort

The reason why couples, girls traveling together, and other groups would choose this place is because it offers a "sophisticated adult atmosphere."
The stylish furniture is arranged in an excellent layout, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely drink and have a pleasant conversation.
It's the perfect atmosphere for expressing gratitude that you might have been a little too shy to say before, or even for a marriage proposal, so why not spend some time with your loved one?

Furano Ski Resort

Furthermore, Furano Hotei is also noteworthy for its "commitment to food."
Many of the vegetables that are the hallmark of Furano French cuisine are grown in their own garden.

The beautifully colored vegetables, so stunning they'll take your breath away, transform into the indispensable main ingredient in Furano French cuisine.

In the hands of the head chef, any vegetable becomes delicious and beautiful.
The ingredients, arranged on a pure white plate, are a feast for the eyes, allowing you to experience the four seasons of Furano.

Breakfast is just bread and jam, but it's so delicious that I end up eating too much.
Why not enjoy more than just skiing at this hotel that continues to pursue its commitment to food excellence?
