On February 19, 2017, Vanilla Air, a low-cost carrier, began operating flights between Hakodate Airport and Narita Airport, making Hakodate even more accessible from Tokyo. Hakodate Airport is a must-visit stop for anyone traveling by plane.
Hakodate Airport is located within Hakodate city, but it's a little distance from the tourist attractions that many travelers aim for.
When you arrive in Hakodate, you'll use a shuttle bus or taxi from the airport, so you probably won't have to worry too much about the distance. However, when you return, you'll have to get to the airport on your own, right?
So, this time, we'll introduce how to get to Hakodate Airport, the travel time, and the fares for each destination!

If you take a medium-sized taxi from Hakodate Station to Hakodate Airport, the fare will be around 2,820 yen, and the journey will take about 20 minutes.

This area is popular with tourists, so taxis are often waiting for customers. The estimated taxi fare from here to Hakodate Airport is 3,270 yen for a medium-sized car, and the journey takes about 25 minutes.

However, if you want to be sure to catch a taxi, it's convenient to use the taxi stands at hotels or Goryokaku Tower. If you take a taxi from the Goryokaku area to the airport, the fare for a medium-sized car is approximately 2,640 yen, and the journey takes about 18 minutes.
