There are plenty of places within walking distance of Odori Park!
A. Proud of its firm, chewy udon noodles. "Dosanko Udonya Santoku"
B. KoKoLi cafe: A small but stylish and relaxing cafe.
C. Homemade noodles and chewy dumplings are recommended at "Dosanko Menya Bon".
E. Italian cuisine made with ingredients from Hokkaido: "Italian Restaurant Il Pino"

There are many restaurants and accommodations within Hokkaido, aren't there?
Among them, I'd like to introduce some restaurants that pride themselves on using ingredients sourced from Hokkaido.
This information will be helpful for travelers when choosing a place to eat in Hokkaido.
Why not use this as one of your guides when choosing shops during your trip?
Restaurants that serve carefully prepared dishes using ingredients from Hokkaido have a special mark displayed!

I happened to go into a restaurant during lunchtime and noticed a sign that read "Northern Bounty Restaurant."
Upon investigation, it appears to be a mark certifying restaurants in Hokkaido that offer carefully prepared dishes using ingredients sourced from Hokkaido.
As of December 10, 2015, it seems that 350 stores throughout Hokkaido have been certified.
Despite living in Sapporo, this was the first time I'd heard of the "Northern Bounty Restaurant" program...
I was curious about what kind of restaurant it was and what kind of food they served, so I went to check it out!
There are plenty of places within walking distance of Odori Park!
If you're sightseeing in Sapporo, Odori Park is one of the places you absolutely must visit.
I found over 30 certified stores within walking distance from there!
It was difficult to visit all of them, so I went to 7 stores ☆
Restaurants I visited
A. Dosanko Udonya Santoku
B. KoKoLi cafe
C. Dosanko Menya Bon
D. Beer Keller Sapporo Kaitakushi Sapporo Factory Store
E. Italian Restaurant Il Pino
F. Ginza Lion Odori Underground Shopping Mall Store
G. Shabu-shabu specialty restaurant Shabu Tokachi Susukino branch
I'll introduce the restaurant's features and share my impressions of the food I ate.
A, B, C
There are three certified stores in just one building!
We are only open for lunch on weekdays.
"A. Dosanko Udonya Santoku," "B. KoKoLi cafe," and "C. Dosanko Menya Bon," listed on the food tour map, are located on the first basement floor of the "Ryokuen Building," which is close to the Hokkaido Prefectural Government building.
You can use it at a different location each day, and all the shops are reasonably priced!
It's also recommended for business travelers and student tourists.
They are only open for lunch on weekdays. They are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, so be sure to check your travel schedule.
A. Proud of its firm, chewy udon noodles. "Dosanko Udonya Santoku"

The system requires you to purchase your ticket from a vending machine beforehand.
A lantern advertising a shop supporting local products really stands out!

There were counter seats and table seats. The interior was clean and had a white-based color scheme.

I ordered one of their signature dishes, "Kashiwa Udon" (chicken udon).
The noodles are handmade udon made with 100% Hokkaido-grown wheat flour, offering a firm, chewy texture.
The broth is made using kombu seaweed from Hidaka and bonito flakes that are shaved fresh every morning.
The clear broth allows the delicate flavors of the ingredients to spread throughout your mouth. The chicken was juicy and delicious.

B. KoKoLi cafe: A small but stylish and relaxing cafe.

This stylish cafe is known for its weekly changing lunch menu and has been featured several times in Sapporo city magazines.
Recommended for women.

The shop is compact and has a calm atmosphere.

The photo shows a "set of three types of homemade mini breads." They apparently use only Hokkaido-grown ingredients, including coffee, juice, and vegetables, and carefully select organic and pesticide-free options.
The seasonal soups and pickles are also great!
The menu features popular fresh pasta made with whole wheat flour. It's also great to order several dishes to share with friends.

Our cakes and cookies are also handmade using Hokkaido-grown wheat. They make great souvenirs or snacks.

C. Homemade noodles and chewy dumplings are recommended at "Dosanko Menya Bon".

Just like at "Dosanko Udonya Santoku," you purchase meal tickets in advance.

It's a small shop with only counter seating, but it feels very clean.

I ordered Sapporo's classic "miso ramen" with a gyoza set.
The homemade noodles, made with 100% Hokkaido-grown wheat flour, reportedly contain no artificial colors, preservatives, or additives.
The chewy texture offers a unique and delicious taste that you won't find anywhere else. The soup is also rich and flavorful.
The noodles and the wrappers for the handmade gyoza are, of course, made with 100% Hokkaido-grown wheat.
The gyoza filling uses Hokkaido-raised pork, resulting in a mild and delicious flavor. It's so good you'll want to come back for more.

D. The birthplace of beer made by Japanese people! "Beer Keller Sapporo Kaitakushi Sapporo Factory Store"

It is located in the brick building of Sapporo Factory, the former site of the Kaitakushi Brewery, the first beer factory established by Japanese people.
The large, tunnel-shaped interior, which seats 500 people, is housed in a building originally constructed in 1907 as a beer barrel storage facility.
This is a popular spot for tourists, where you can enjoy a meal in a space that has a history of over 130 years.

At the entrance, there are many beer mugs signed by celebrities.

Plates from the "Northern Bounty Food Restaurant" were also on display.

One of our proudest menu items, which focuses on Hokkaido ingredients, is the "Three Flavors of Potato Fries."
The portion is generous, so everyone in the group can compare the flavors. Please enjoy it while it's piping hot!
In addition, you can enjoy a variety of local dishes, such as "Jingisukan Yakisoba," which is registered as a B-grade gourmet dish.
On the premises, craft beer and other beverages are brewed using methods recreated from the Meiji era.
Another highlight is that you can enjoy Sapporo's carefully crafted draft beer!
You can also enjoy the limited-edition Sapporo Classic draft beer.

E. Italian cuisine made with ingredients from Hokkaido: "Italian Restaurant Il Pino"

It's located very close to the clock tower, so you can easily stop by while sightseeing.
The signature dish, "Ezo deer cutlet," is available only during dinner. The meat has very little gamey smell, so even those trying Ezo deer for the first time should be able to enjoy it.
It pairs perfectly with wine.
Besides their signature dishes, they also offer many other carefully crafted items, such as pasta and pizza made with "Haru yo Koi," a type of wheat flour from Hokkaido.
We have a variety of wines from Hokkaido, so why not enjoy one with your meal?

We also have private rooms with a calm atmosphere. We can accommodate parties and other events by reservation (for groups of 2 or more).

We also carry original dressings and other products that would make great souvenirs.

F. Stop by on your way back from an event or shopping! "Ginza Lion Odori Underground Shopping Mall Store"

It's located in the Sapporo underground shopping mall, Aurora Town, so you can easily go there regardless of the weather.
I spotted a "Northern Bounty Love Restaurant" sticker at the entrance of the store!

The restaurant has a chic and relaxed atmosphere. It seems like a great place to enjoy a leisurely meal with family or friends.

The "Nakatsunai-grown edamame" (right), a specialty dish, has a firm, springy texture.
The "Garlic Stir-fried Potatoes and Sausages" (left), made with Hokkaido's "Kita Akari" potatoes, is simply seasoned with salt and pepper, allowing you to fully enjoy the sweetness of the Kita Akari potatoes.
The "Smoked Sanma" (saury) from Kushiro (pictured later) has a pleasant smoky aroma that whets the appetite. It's delicious for all ages, whether as a side dish for rice with rice or as a snack with drinks for adults.
We offer a wide variety of alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, cocktails, and shochu, so if you enjoy a drink, please feel free to join us.

G. Enjoy Tokachi beef raised on vast lands! "Shabu Tokachi Susukino Store, a specialty shabu-shabu restaurant"

The "Three Kinds of Feast" allows you to compare three types of meat from Hokkaido (Tokachi-produced Japanese Black Wagyu beef shoulder loin, Shari-produced Sachiku Mugio pork shoulder loin, and Tokachi-produced Tokachi beef rib loin).
Enjoy it with a generous serving of carefully selected seasonal vegetables. In addition to individual dishes, we also have great value set courses that can be reserved on the same day.

When enjoyed as a light shabu-shabu, you can fully appreciate the delicious flavor of the meat.
The meat is tender, so even young children and elderly people who don't have strong chewing power can eat it with gusto.

The restaurant has a relaxing, Japanese-style interior. It can also accommodate large groups for lively banquets.

All seats can be separated by partitions, allowing you to create semi-private spaces.
This restaurant is perfect for spending time with someone special. It's a good idea to mention the occasion when making a reservation.
