Furano, Hokkaido, boasts a beautiful rural landscape with the Tokachi mountain range in the background. It displays a rich and picturesque scenery throughout the four seasons, and attracts many tourists, especially during the peak lavender season.

In Furano, one of Hokkaido's leading tourist destinations, we highly recommend staying at Furano Hotel. Relax amidst the vast natural beauty, savor exquisite cuisine, and unwind in the hot springs. Be amazed by the thoughtful hospitality and savor the refined artistry unique to Furano.

You're sure to have an unforgettable time in Furano! This time, I'll share my accommodation experience in this report.

A secluded luxury hotel nestled in the forest.

Furano Treasure House
Furano Hotei is located about a 10-minute drive from downtown Furano. It is away from the hotel district and seems to blend into the natural surroundings.

This hotel, with its traditional exterior, surprisingly has its entrance on the 3rd floor! I was amazed by its structure, which makes full use of the natural terrain.
Furano Hotel Lobby
Upon entering the building, you'll be greeted by a wall of glass windows. On a clear day, you might even be able to see the majestic Tokachi-dake mountain range in the distance.

The chandelier made from Furano milk bottles is quite interesting. As the sun sets, a warm light fills the building.

"Furano Fika" - Spend a stylish afternoon with someone special.

Furano Hotei Furano Fika
Upon checking into Furano Hotei, the first thing you should do is enjoy "Furano Fika." This service, available in the lobby from 15 PM to 17 PM before dinner, allows you to enjoy homemade sweets.

Furano Hotei Furano Fika
"A moment of relaxation with family or loved ones"—this is the concept of "Furano Fika." An evening spent leisurely enjoying sweet flavors while taking in the view outside the window.

While active travel is fun, I've come to realize again how nice it is to have a trip where you can check into your hotel at a leisurely pace.

Furano Hotei Furano Fika
All the sweets were delicious, but the one that was so good I had seconds was the milk pudding.

The gentle sweetness that brings out the flavor of Furano milk, and the smooth, creamy texture are simply irresistible.

A deluxe twin room with a resort feel and lavender views!

Furano Hotel Deluxe Twin
The room we were shown to was a deluxe twin room on the first floor. The spacious layout and sophisticated interior design really enhance the resort atmosphere.

Furano Hotei Garden View
I visited in mid-July, so the lavender in the garden was in full bloom! It was lovely to have the view of the lavender coming in from the window. The way the curtains swayed in the breeze was refreshing.

Furano Hotei (Free Drinks)
One small but delightful thing about staying in such a cozy room was the complimentary drinks in the refrigerator. Not only were there juices unique to Hokkaido, but surprisingly, there was even bottled beer!

The joy of being able to enjoy a drink at home in an extraordinary setting. In these times, it's a truly special treat.

Experience the four seasons of Furano! Savor artistic "Furano French" cuisine.

Furano Hotei Furano French
"Using seasonal local ingredients, we express the four seasons of Furano on a plate"—this is the theme of the "Furano French" course menu.

Furano Hotei is also famous as an auberge (French for "a hotel with a restaurant serving local cuisine"). It has received high ratings on a certain gourmet review website.

So, let's toast with lavender-colored wine while gazing at the lavender through the window.
Furano Hotei Furano French
The dishes, which combine the delicate sensibilities of Japanese cuisine with French techniques, are all visually stunning, like works of art. Each dish is vibrant and colorful, valuing the inherent characteristics of the ingredients.

The appetizer is a symphony of flavors created with local vegetables. Fresh vegetables are combined with vegetable puree and garnished with herbs. It's amazing how they've managed to create such depth of flavor and freshness using only vegetables!

Furano Hotei Furano FrenchThe abalone risotto is a luxurious dish that uses a whole abalone, with a liver sauce tossed over rolled barley. The saltiness is just right, and the unique flavor of the liver and the rich butter go perfectly with the chewy rolled barley.

I was immersed in the delicious flavor of the abalone, which intensified with every bite. I couldn't help but order more sake! (lol)

Detox in a luxurious hot spring while gazing at a sky full of stars.

Furano Hotei Onsen
Furano is located at the foot of the active volcano, Mount Tokachi. It is one of Hokkaido's leading hot spring areas, and hot springs also spring up in Furano Hotei.

The spring water is a sodium-calcium chloride spring. It's a clear, smooth, and gentle hot spring that's safe for people with conditions like atopic dermatitis. It has excellent heat retention properties, keeping you warm long after you get out of the bath.

Furano Hotei Onsen
One of the charming aspects of this hot spring is that you can bathe while gazing at a sky full of stars. The hotel is located on a hill in Furano, and there are no artificial lights other than those at the hotel.

As a result, a starry sky like jewels unfolds before you. I spent a healing moment soaking in the warm water, detoxifying both my mind and body.

In the evening, we relaxed and enjoyed the bar, then finished off the night in our room.

Furano Hotei Bar
Guests staying at Furano Hotei can use the lobby bar from 20 PM. While some alcoholic beverages are available for a fee, the selection of drinks is very extensive!

It would have been nice to relax in my room, but since I had the opportunity, I used the facilities for about an hour and a half after my bath. I had about five long cocktails, including a screwdriver, a China Blue, and a mimosa.
Furano Hotei Bar
When I returned to my room, I was greeted with another delightful surprise! A late-night snack had been delivered. It consisted of flavorful rice dumplings and pickles.

I enjoyed a perfect ending to the day, having another bottle of beer in my room. But before I knew it, it was already midnight! With all the excellent service, time flew by from check-in.

Ride a golf cart through the seasonal gardens and healing forests.

Furano Hotei Garden Lavender
The next morning, I woke up early and took a stroll through the garden in front of the hotel. Of course, you can walk around, but I decided to use a golf cart!

The temperature hasn't risen completely yet, and the time spent gazing at the lavender fields while feeling the cool breeze is truly special. The garden features a variety of flowers throughout the seasons, so its appearance changes depending on when you visit.
Furano Hotei Garden Lavender
The grounds of "Furano Hotei" boast a vast 35,000 tsubo (approximately 116,000 square meters). You can enter a portion of it directly by golf cart. The lush, tranquil forest is bathed in beautiful dappled sunlight.

Stepping out of the hotel, you can enjoy beautiful nature all to yourself. Living in the city, this alone brings a small but significant sense of joy.

Furano Hotei Garden - Home-grown vegetable garden
In one corner of the property, we discovered a vegetable garden! In fact, they grow the ingredients used in the Furano French restaurant mentioned earlier.

While it's an elegant luxury hotel, it also has a self-sufficient lifestyle. This simple aspect is soothing, and somehow it enhances the sense of fulfillment during your stay.

Immerse yourself in hospitality! Furano Hotei offers an overwhelmingly satisfying experience.

Furano Hotel Lobby
"Furano Hotei" is a hotel that takes advantage of its healing location surrounded by nature, while incorporating numerous thoughtful touches to provide a higher quality lodging experience. There, the artistry of nature and the artistry of people are in perfect harmony.

If you're going to visit a place, you want to delve deeper into it and enjoy it to the fullest. Furano Hotei exceeded my expectations in fulfilling that wish.

This luxury hotel is guaranteed to provide you with an unforgettable and wonderful experience. Why not visit it at least once?
