Rokkatei is famous for its Marusei Butter Sandwiches and Strawberry Chocolate White, but besides those two, there are many other unique sweets that are distinctly "Rokkatei."
Their cute appearances make you want to pick them up immediately, and their names are heartwarming.
This time, I'd like to simply admire the unique and adorable sweets from Rokkatei.

1. Rokkatei's adorable sweets
At Rokkatei's Sapporo main store, you can buy sweets individually, and many of them cost around ¥100 per piece!
So I bought several different kinds.
1-1. Tokachi Rokka

Tokachi Rokka is a confection created to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Rokkatei's founding. The packaging features illustrations of Hokkaido's wildflowers in pastel colors, which are considered an icon of Rokkatei.

The inside is a crispy pastry. The sweetness of the granulated sugar and the fragrant crispness of the pastry are a perfect match!
1-2. □△〇

The symbol is "□△〇," which is pronounced "maru sankaku shaku." This is also based on the familiar wild flower pattern, and the boldly written "□△〇" on top of it is quite stylish.

□ = Pink = Strawberry crunch chocolate, △ = Beige = Walnut, ○ = Green = Matcha cookie.
My favorite was the strawberry. The flavor was incredibly rich!
1-3. Heave-ho!

These exquisite products from Rokkatei feature unique and distinctive names. It's fun to imagine the thoughts and feelings behind them.

The chewy dough is stamped with the "Rikka" logo. Surprisingly, the inside is filled with blueberries.
A colleague who tried the "Untokose Dokkoisho" dish said, "I think I chose the most delicious one!"
1-4. The usual thing

This is another excellent product that showcases a brilliant naming sense.

This is a pastry made with a butter cake filled with chocolate ganache and wrapped in puff pastry. Western-style sweets always feel a little special, don't they? It's exciting when your snack is "that usual thing"!
1-5. Rokkanomori

Rokkanomori is a chocolate assortment featuring motifs of wildflowers from Hokkaido.

These chocolates are so cute I want to turn them into brooches! They come in three flavors—white, passion fruit, and strawberry—and the fact that they're easy to pop into your mouth is a big plus.
1-6. One pot

This is a truly exquisite item, named after a haiku written in the past. The shop had a lovely display of the pots.

The pot contains red bean paste and mochi (rice cake). I chose chunky red bean paste, but smooth red bean paste and white bean paste are also available.
1-7. Bekomochi

When you think of black and white, you think of cows, right? So, cow = Beko Mochi. Just as the name and appearance suggest, this mochi has a subtle sweetness.

This Japanese confection has a rich flavor, with the taste of brown sugar intensifying with every bite. It might be a good idea to pair it with a warm cup of barley tea.
1-8. Thanks to you

This confection consists of a crispy wafer shell filled with gianduja (a type of chocolate with a nutty flavor).

The rich gianduja and the chewy texture of the monaka (wafer) are delightful!
2. Rokkatei Sapporo Main Store
I bought my sweets at Rokkatei's Sapporo main store. It's about a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station. I thought it was a modern building, and it turned out to be Rokkatei.

As mentioned at the beginning, in addition to being able to buy Rokkatei's sweets one by one, they also have a tea room and sell limited-edition sweets.

We also have a wide selection of goods that are only available at our directly managed stores.
Sapporo City Chuo Ward, Kita 4-jo Nishi 6-chome 3-3
Rokkatei Sapporo Main Store TEL: 011-261-6666
1st floor store hours: 10:00 - 19:00
2nd floor coffee shop: Opening hours 10:30 - 18:00
3. Conclusion
What did you think? Besides butter sandwiches, there are many other sweets that have their own unique character.
Buying a whole box of each type can be expensive, but at the official store you can buy them individually, so you can try out a variety of them.
That being said, you're almost guaranteed to end up with a basket full of things once you start looking around!
