For pricing, the comparison was based on the author's hypothetical scenario of "having a drink and some light sushi (hereinafter referred to as the 'author's set')" (tuna roll, scallop, medium fatty tuna, recommended item, soup, and about one medium draft beer. If none of these are available, a similar item will be chosen).

This is purely my own opinion, but please enjoy it for reference.

When you think of Nemuro, you think of saury. The combination of saury fat and ginger is delicious!

The number one spot goes to "Kaiten Sushi Nemuro Hanamaru" (hereinafter referred to as Hanamaru), which always has a line of customers due to its delicious food and convenient location! It's a very well-known nominee, but I still find myself going to Hanamaru.

One of its best features is its location. Most conveyor belt sushi restaurants are located in the suburbs, but Hanamaru JR Tower Stellar Place is on the 6th floor of a commercial facility directly connected to JR Sapporo Station, making it extremely accessible! Even on weekdays, there are people waiting in line in front of the store with their travel bags. There is a ticket machine for waiting in line at the storefront, and they will notify you by phone when your turn is approaching, so you can kill time in the station building.

Mountain wasabi + squid = the best!

As the name suggests, Hanamaru's menu strongly reflects the unique characteristics of Nemuro, Hokkaido. They offer many unusual items that you don't often see, such as star anchovies, herring, and king crab loincloths!
There are many unusual items on the menu, and deciding what to order is one of the great pleasures of traveling in Hokkaido.

Many people were ordering the miso soup, which was packed with ingredients.

As for the price, the set I ordered came to around ¥2,000, or maybe a little less. This is about average compared to other conveyor belt sushi restaurants in downtown Sapporo.

Unfortunately, Hanamaru does not accept reservations.
Since time is limited when traveling, if you don't have time to wait, we recommend "Shiki Hanamaru," a sister restaurant.

Shiki Hanamaru is a sushi restaurant that doesn't use a conveyor belt. While the price per item is slightly higher than the conveyor belt sushi restaurant Hanamaru, the lunch sets start from a very reasonable ¥880. Furthermore, each of their locations is near major tourist attractions in Sapporo: two near Sapporo Station, and one each near Susukino and the Clock Tower.

This will be helpful if you came all the way to Stella Place intending to eat sushi, but the line is so long you can't wait!

Our company originated from the ingredient wholesale division of a bento (boxed lunch) chain, which gives us a strong advantage in procurement.

The reason we ranked it second this time is that the store's accessibility is slightly worse compared to Hanamaru. The store closest to the city center is the Kita Hachijo Kosei store, which opened in December 2016, and is about a 15-minute walk from the north exit of Sapporo Station.
