Final thoughts
1. A traditional flavor that has been passed down since the company's founding.

"Yukijirushi Parlor Sapporo Main Store," located very close to JR Sapporo Station, opened in April 1961.
The ice cream is still made using the same traditional methods, preserving its classic flavor, and the shop is bustling with customers every day.
2. What kind of ice cream was made for Emperor Showa?

Snow Royal is an ice cream that was created for Emperor Showa.
This was specially made in August 1968 for Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress, who attended the Hokkaido Centennial Commemoration Ceremony.
Upon receiving a request from the Imperial Household Agency to create "the best ice cream" for the occasion, they spent two years developing prototypes, resulting in an ice cream that captures the inherent flavor and deliciousness of milk.
Subsequently, 'Snow Royal' became "sold exclusively at Snow Brand Parlor in Hokkaido."

Features of 'Snow Royal'
It contains 15.6% milk fat. It's egg-free and has a light, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
A rich yet refreshing ice cream. It pursues the true flavor of milk.
The non-fat milk solids and milk fat content are in perfect balance.
This balance is said to have a significant impact on the flavor, richness, and smoothness of the ice cream.

While a higher milk fat content results in a smoother texture, too much fat can make it difficult to freeze solid, compromising the original ice cream's mouthfeel.
Non-fat milk solids add richness to the flavor, but if there's too much, the lactose crystallizes when frozen, resulting in a grainy texture.
This is truly a "royal" ice cream, crafted with meticulous care and a perfect balance, pursuing the authentic flavor of "milk."
3. Things to know before you go out! Popular menu items

The selection varies by season, but there are around 30 different ice cream and parfait options!
For those who are overwhelmed by the extensive menu and can't decide what to order, we asked about their most popular dishes.

Bananas and soft, melt-in-your-mouth caramel are a perfect match!
3-6 Rare Cheesecake Parfait

What I had that day was a rare cheesecake parfait. It was a dish of homemade rare cheesecake topped with plenty of blueberry sauce.
The tartness of the berries is refreshing.
Recommended for cheese lovers!

All the parfaits are generously sized. They're light and refreshing, so you can easily finish one even after a meal!

A view of the café/restaurant on the second floor. (Smoking is prohibited in all seats throughout the day.)
The busiest times are during summer vacation and long holidays.
The busiest time is apparently between 2 PM and 4 PM, after dinner.
4. Super rare! What is the jumbo parfait that can only be eaten at the Sapporo main store?
We'll introduce three parfaits in an astonishingly jumbo size!

In addition to fruits like bananas, mangoes, and melons, you can enjoy ice cream to your heart's content with fresh cream and flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and matcha.
Apparently, many groups celebrate birthdays with jumbo parfaits.
Why not enjoy a jumbo parfait to create lasting memories of your trip?
*The Jumbo Parfait is only available at the Sapporo main store.
Reservations are not required, but since preparation takes time, we recommend making a reservation in advance.
And! !!
This is the one that really catches the eye in the shop window!

"Ice cream tower"
The ice cream tower requires a reservation.
5. It's not just sweets! We also serve meals♪
At Snow Brand Parlor, you can enjoy not only sweets but also meals.

Perfect for lunch or dinner.
The dish I had that day was "Shrimp Cream Sauce."

6. Enjoy choosing souvenirs at the shop on the first floor.

The first floor houses a shop selling souvenirs and soft-serve ice cream.
There's a great selection of souvenirs unique to Hokkaido, so you can enjoy shopping too!
Now, let me introduce some of our popular products!
