"Starbucks Coffee Kushiro Tsurumibashi Store" is the 35th store in Hokkaido.
It opened on December 20, 2017, along the Shin-Kushiro River in Showa-Chuo 1-chome, Kushiro City.
The decision to open a store in the Nemuro-Kushiro area came about through a combination of factors, including customer requests for a store in the area via comment cards and social media, a search for a location that would allow for the creation of a Starbucks-style store space and service, and finding the perfect location during that process.

Now, let's take a look at the features of "Starbucks Coffee Kushiro Tsurumibashi Store".

The two-story store, with a total area of approximately 300 square meters, is one of the largest drive-thru locations in Hokkaido. It has 110 seats, including the terrace seating on the second floor.
The interior features extensive use of Hokkaido-grown larch wood, primarily from the Kushiro region, and underfloor heating is installed in part of the first floor. Warm air is circulated by ceiling fans.

The building features many glass surfaces, allowing visitors to enjoy the changing scenery throughout the seasons, creating an open and tranquil atmosphere.
The second floor features a terrace where you can enjoy views of the Shin-Kushiro River and the cityscape beyond.

The Kushiro Tsurumibashi store has approximately 40 employees.
Soon after opening, they've been receiving encouraging and supportive comments from customers such as, "I've been looking forward to this!", "The view from the second floor is amazing!", "I came yesterday, but I'll come again tomorrow!", and "You're busy, but keep up the good work!".
2. The second store in Hokkaido! What is "Nitro Cold Brew Coffee"?

Starbucks Coffee Kushiro Tsurumibashi store is the second location in Hokkaido to offer Nitro Cold Brew Coffee, following the Sapporo Asahigaoka store.
"Nitro Cold Brew Coffee" is a type of cold brew coffee infused with nitrogen gas, resulting in a smooth and mellow flavor.
To explain in more detail, cold brew coffee (coffee brewed slowly with water without applying heat) is infused with nitrogen gas, and the barista pours each cup individually from a special tap into a glass right in front of the customer upon order.

Nitrogen gas creates a curtain-like cascade in the glass when poured, along with a rich, velvety texture.
Therefore, in addition to the deep, natural sweetness that comes from fully bringing out the inherent flavor of the beans in cold brew coffee, you can also experience a smooth mouthfeel, a rich texture, and a smooth, creamy taste, almost as if milk had been added.
This uniquely visually appealing Starbucks® Nitro Cold Brew Coffee is a drink that's enjoyable to watch as it's poured from the tap, and it's available at select stores nationwide.
It's great that coffee lovers can enjoy such rare coffees at the Kushiro Tsurumibashi store.
3. Things you should know! How to enjoy Starbucks coffee

Next, we'll introduce some useful information.
[1] Bring your own container, such as a tumbler or cup, and receive a 20 yen (tax included) discount on your bill.
[2] Use of customization
I also tried ordering a customized version.

I ordered a caramel macchiato.
My body was craving something sweet, so I asked for extra vanilla syrup. (Changing the amount of syrup is free of charge.)
You can also add chocolate sauce or change the milk to a low-fat type.
Most of the customizable services are free, with a few exceptions. Please ask our staff for details.
